A prosthetic provider, often referred to as a prosthetist or prosthetic practitioner, is a healthcare professional who specializes in the design, fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of prosthetic limbs and devices. These specialists work with individuals who have undergone limb amputations or were born with limb differences (congenital limb loss) to help them regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
